Various cytotoxicity tests are available to characterize the toxicity of medical device components or materials. These in-vitro test methods are an easy and economical tool for assessing new product candidates or materials. Cytotoxicity tests also assure lot-to-lot acceptability of polymers and plastics used in medical devices. Two out of three of our cytotoxicity assays offered below assess the toxicity of various substances using an L929 fibroblast cell line per ISO 10993, USP <87> and USP <88>.
